The Madhya Pradesh Government has come on alert mode on the virus spreading rapidly from bats. Animal department has issued alerts in MP after the nipah virus spread through batches in Kerala. MP’s inter-minister Arya said that special monitoring will be done in the resident areas of bats and if a bat is killed then it will be disposed off immediately.
At the same time, on the other hand, Animal Husbandry Department has prohibited the procurement of horses from external states for spreading the disease called Glanders in horses. Buying horses without a health checkup will not be possible.

This virus can take the form of an infectious epidemic. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), nipah virus (NiV) is a new emerging disease, which causes severe illness in both animals and humans. It is also called ‘nipah virus encephalitis’.
